How it Works
Is your boiler still under manufacturer’s warranty? If so, our unique Goldstar Warranty Plan is the one for you. And as this plan is exclusive to Goldstar, you won’t find anything like it anywhere else in Scotland!
Here’s how it works. If your boiler breaks down while under warranty, the manufacturer takes care of parts and labour costs. But the rest of your heating and hot water system isn’t covered, and that’s where our flexible Goldstar Warranty Plan comes in.
We cover all labour costs and spare parts for your system, whatever type of boiler you have, and we include a complimentary sign-up safety check and service. What’s more, Goldstar Warranty Plan also includes the annual boiler service you need to keep your warranty valid.
And should there be a problem, we’ve got that fully covered too — our Gas Safe engineers are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All this means you’ll soon find out what the problem is and whether it’s something we can fix under your Goldstar Warranty Plan or something we need to get the boiler manufacturer to repair.
What you pay depends only on the type of boiler you have — combi or conventional system boiler. There are more moving parts where there’s a system boiler running a water cylinder heating system, so cover costs a little more than for a combi.
You can pay for your Goldstar Warranty Plan on a rolling monthly basis by card or direct debit until the warranty expires. After that you have the option to move onto our competitive Goldstar Plan for out-of-warranty boilers.

We offer different Goldstar Warranty Plan cover depending on your boiler type. For a combi boiler, you need our Goldstar Warranty Combi Plan. If you have a conventional system boiler with hot water cylinder, then we recommend the Goldstar Warranty System Plan.
A combi — short for combination — is a condensing boiler which heats water on demand for domestic use and central healing. Hot water goes straight to your taps and there’s no need for a storage cylinder.
A traditional system boiler is connected to a cylinder or tank where your hot water is stored until you need it. Our Goldstar System Plan covers your boiler, heating system and hot water cylinder.

Once you have chosen which Goldstar Warranty Plan is right for your home — Combi or System — join Goldstar Gas Cover and choose whether to pay annually or monthly on a rolling contract basis until your boiler’s warranty expires.
We’ll be in touch soon after you join to arrange your complimentary Goldstar boiler inspection and service. This will be within 30 days of sign-up, at a time and date to suit you.
A Goldstar Gas Safe-registered engineer will complete your complimentary safety check and service. They will also confirm that you’ve chosen the right plan for your heating system.
If the safety check shows we cannot cover your system, your Goldstar account will be cancelled immediately before any payment is taken. In this situation, you have the option to pay separately for the engineer to service your boiler and system.
We’ll take your first monthly Goldstar Warranty Plan payment 30 days after you sign up.
11 months after your first payment, we will remind you that your annual service is due and ask you to contact us to book a time and date that suits you.
If your boiler’s warranty has ended then our Goldstar Plan is perfect for you. The Plan covers your boiler and entire heating system.
